Signing in when your organization requires SSO

If your organization requires SSO, here's how to sign in and what to expect - no setup needed on your end.

Written by Liza

If your organization has switched on Require SSO for all sign-ins, you'll always sign in through your company's identity provider instead of a Kadence password.

Before you start

There's nothing to set up. If your organization requires SSO, you'll see it the next time you sign in - just use the SSO option on the login page instead of typing a password.

Signing in

Look for your organization's sign-in button (Microsoft, Google, Okta, or OneLogin) on the login page and you'll be taken to your usual company login.

If you try to sign in with a password instead, you'll see: "Your organization requires signing in with SSO. Please use the SSO option below."

That's your prompt to use the SSO button instead - there's nothing wrong with your account.

For Okta, OneLogin, Microsoft, or Google, click the matching logo on the login screen to sign in via SSO.

If you're new

Your welcome email from Kadence has a Sign in button rather than a password setup link. Click it, sign in with SSO, and you're in.

FAQs

Why do I see "Your organization requires signing in with SSO"?

Your organization has switched on SSO enforcement, so passwords no longer work for signing in or resetting access. Use the SSO button on the login page instead.

I can still sign in with a password. Is something wrong?

No - you most likely belong to more than one Kadence organization. Your password is tied to your email address rather than to a single organization, so it keeps working if any organization you belong to allows it.

Will this sign me out of Kadence?

No. It only affects new sign-in attempts and password resets. If you're already signed in, you'll stay signed in.

I have an old password reset email - can I still use it?

No, reset links stop working once your organization turns SSO enforcement on. Sign in with SSO instead.

Who do I ask if I can't get past the SSO screen?

Contact your organization's Global Admin - they manage SSO enforcement and can help if your SSO provider isn't working as expected.
