Kadence can bring across the profile photo each user already has in Google Workspace. There's no custom attribute to create, no public URL to host, and no per-user setup.
Prerequisites
You must be a Global Admin in Kadence
You must have Google Workspace directory sync already connected to Kadence. If you haven't set this up yet, start with our Directory Sync Setup Guide
How It Works
As part of your existing directory sync, Kadence reads the photo Google Workspace makes available for each user and copies it into Kadence's own storage — it doesn't link back to Google's copy. This is already running in production today, including on Kadence's own Google Workspace account.
Good to know: Google doesn't guarantee that every user's photo will resolve. If a particular photo can't be pulled across, that user simply shows their initials until they upload a photo directly in Kadence — something anyone can do at any time.
Set Up the Mapping
There's nothing to configure in Google Workspace for this. On the Kadence side, a Global Admin needs to confirm the mapping is in place:
In Kadence, navigate to Settings → Directory Sync
Select View Directory Sync
Edit the attribute mappings and confirm Kadence's Photo attribute is mapped to Google's
thumbnailPhotoUrlattribute
