Give your hybrid workplace the flexibility it needs by syncing custom teams from your directory system to Kadence. This guide shows how to use the kadence_teams attribute via WorkOS to create granular, dynamic teams.
Pre-requisites:
You must be a global admin in Kadence
You must have an Entra ID (Azure AD) directory sync with Kadence
Why use custom attribute mapping?
Sometimes, directory groups are too broad. Custom team mapping lets you:
Have an accurate representation of your teams within kadence
Manage joiners, movers, and leavers on Kadence efficiently and automatically through your directory sync
Generate more meaningful reports tied to business units
How it works
We use multiple kadence_teams custom attributes to map team names from your directory to users. These values are then synced to Kadence and used to form dynamic teams.
