With Events, you can communicate clearly with attendees, track RSVPs, measure engagement, and gather feedback to continuously improve workplace experiences.
Kadence Events is a paid feature. If Events is not visible in your settings, your organization may not have access. To learn more or request a quote, contact your CSM or email [email protected].
Event Organizers
What are Event Organizers
Event Organizers can create, edit, and manage events they own.
The Event Organizer role is a secondary permission, meaning it adds event-related capabilities without removing or replacing a user’s existing role. For example, a Building Admin can also be an Event Organizer.
Prerequisites
You must be a Global Admin to manage Event Organizers.
Add Event Organizers
To add an Event Organizer:
Log in to Kadence
Navigate to Settings > Events
Click Add Event Organizer
Select individual users and/or entire teams
Use the search bar to refine your selection
Click Add to confirm
You can assign multiple users or teams at once.
Remove Event Organizers
To remove an Event Organizer:
Navigate to Settings > Events
Click the X next to the user you want to remove
Confirm the removal in the modal
Create Events
Prerequisites
You must be an Event Organizer, Global Admin, or Building Admin.
Create a New Event
To create an event:
Navigate to Events
Click Create Event
Upload an event image or choose one from the image library
Enter an event title and description
Optionally use the AI assistant to help draft content
Add one or more event categories
Click Next to continue
Event Details
On the Event Details page, you can:
Set the event date and time
Select a time zone
Choose the event location:
Onsite (select a Kadence building)
Virtual only
Off-site (enter a physical address)
Hybrid (add a virtual meeting link)
You cannot create events in the past.
Click Next to continue.
Invite Attendees
On the attendee setup screen, you can:
Event Visibility
Open Event: Visible to everyone
Invite Only: Visible only to invited users and Global Admins
Capacity Limits (Optional)
Set a maximum number of in-person attendees
Once capacity is reached, users can still RSVP Maybe, Yes (virtually), or No
Capacity limits are not available for virtual-only events
Additional Organizers (Optional)
Add more Event Organizers to help manage the event
Added users must already have Event Organizer permissions
If only one organizer exists, they cannot be removed
RSVP Deadline (Optional)
Set a deadline to stop new “Yes, attending” responses
Existing RSVPs can still be updated after the deadline
Invite Attendees
Invite the entire company, specific teams, or individuals
Preview the full list of invited users before publishing
Publish or Save
Once published:
Events cannot be deleted
Events can only be edited or cancelled
Attendees receive email and IM notifications if enabled
Manage Events
Navigate to Events > Manage Events to oversee your events.
Global Admins and Event Organizers can:
View all managed events, including drafts
Open an event to see RSVP breakdowns
Invite additional users or teams
Remove attendees
Update an attendee’s RSVP status
Search for specific attendees
Edit or cancel published events
Published events cannot be deleted to ensure proper attendee communication.
View and Attend Events
All users can browse events by navigating to Events.
Users can:
Browse open events and invite-only events they are invited to
Search and filter by date, location, category, and event type
RSVP directly from the event page
Add events to Outlook or Google Calendar
View event details, organizers, attendees, and announcements
My Events
The My Events tab shows all events a user is invited to or has RSVP’d to.
From this view, users can:
Update their RSVP
View location maps and directions
See who else is attending
Share the event link (invite-only events are restricted)
