If your account doesn't use the Archilogic integration, you still have full control over how your workspace is set up in Kadence - creating buildings and floors, adding resources, organizing neighborhoods, and managing seating. The one thing you can't do yourself is change how the floor plan looks - for that, our team steps in.
What you can manage yourself
Without Archilogic, the following can all be created and updated directly by your admins in Kadence, with no need to submit a request:
Buildings - create and manage the buildings in your organization. Learn how →
Floors - add, edit, and organize floors within each building. Learn how →
Resources - create and manage resources such as desks, meeting rooms, and other bookable spaces. Learn how →
Neighborhoods - group resources by team, department, or any other structure that fits your organization. Learn how →
Neighborhood restrictions - configure and manage restrictions that control who can book resources within a given neighborhood, covered in the same guide as above. Learn how →
Seating arrangements and assignments - assign specific desks or seats to employees and update these as your organization changes. Learn how →
Note: The Move Manager guides linked above cover seating assignments in depth, but Move Manager itself is only available as part of WorkOps Pro, a separate add-on. Without it, seating assignments are still self-serve - they're managed directly on each resource rather than through the Move Manager dashboard. Speak to your CSM to learn more about WorkOps Pro.
Managing lots of resources or assignments at once? Use Bulk Upload Resources and Assignments to handle resources, neighborhoods, and user assignments in a single CSV upload rather than one at a time.
What requires assistance from Kadence
Since your account isn't connected to Archilogic, any changes to the visual layout of your floor plan need to be made by the Kadence team. This includes:
Colors - color-coding of spaces or areas on the floor plan.
Labeling - names or labels shown directly on the floor plan graphic.
Layout - moving, adding, resizing, or rearranging spaces visually.
Other visual updates - any other graphical change to the floor plan itself.
Request a visual floor plan update
To request any of the changes above, email [email protected] with the details of what you'd like updated. Our team will review your request and take care of it on your behalf.
Tip: Include the building and floor name, along with a clear description (or screenshot) of the change you're requesting, so the team can process it as quickly as possible.
Good to know
Structural changes are instant. Buildings, floors, resources, neighborhoods, seating, and restrictions are all managed in Kadence directly, so these changes go live as soon as you save them.
Visual changes go through our team. Since there's no Archilogic connection on your account, updates to colors, labels, and layout aren't self-serve and are handled by the Kadence team once requested.
Want to make visual edits yourself? The Archilogic integration lets you edit floor plan layouts directly and sync changes into Kadence. Speak to your CSM or email [email protected] to find out more.

No. Move Manager makes bulk moves and ongoing seating changes easier, but it's a WorkOps Pro add-on rather than a requirement. Without it, you can still assign employees to desks directly on each resource in Kadence.
