Manage and Send Announcements

Create, schedule, and share important messages with targeted audiences across your organization

Announcements are ideal for office updates, policy changes, events, or time-sensitive messages that need to reach the right people at the right time.

Enable Announcements

  • You must be a Global Admin

Before announcements can be created, the feature must be enabled.

  1. Log in to Kadence

  2. Navigate to Settings → Company → Announcements

  3. Toggle Announcements on or off

Once enabled, Admins and Coordinators can start creating announcements.


Create an Announcement

To use announcements in Kadence:

  • You must be an Admin or Coordinator

  • The Announcements feature must be enabled

To create a new announcement:

  1. Click Announcements in the left-hand navigation

  2. Select New announcement

  3. Enter a title and description

    • Emojis are supported in both fields

  4. (Optional) Attach a published survey for users to complete

  5. Choose when the announcement should display:

    • Immediately, or

    • Scheduled for a future date and time

  6. (Optional) Toggle High priority to highlight urgent messages

Choose Your Audience

Announcements can be sent to one or more audience types:

  • Everyone

  • By User – Select specific users

  • By Team – Select one or more teams

  • By Preferred Building – Users who have a specific building set as preferred

  • By Booking – Users with bookings in a selected building

  • By Event – Users invited to one or more events

Event Audience Filters

When sending by event, you can further filter by RSVP status:

  • Attending

  • Attending virtually

  • Maybe

  • Declined

  • Pending

If all RSVP statuses are selected, the announcement will be sent to all invited users.

You’ll also see a preview of all recipients, with the option to exclude individual users before sending.

Notification Options

You can optionally notify users when an announcement is published:

  • Email

  • Instant Messenger (Slack or Microsoft Teams, if integrated)

Notifications are optional—announcements will still appear in Kadence even if notifications are disabled.

Manage Announcements

From the Announcements page, you can:

  • View all scheduled and sent announcements

  • Delete announcements that are scheduled or already sent

  • Filter announcements by:

    • Date

    • Creator

  • Monitor view status to see which users have read each announcement
